This book is based upon experiences as student and practitioner. The challenges that we have come across while learning the basics of Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) software, have encouraged us to attempt to write this book for fulfilling the requirements of learning the basic knowledge about QGIS for the beginners.

As it is extremely difficult to bring all the processes and algorithms of QGIS into a single book, therefore an attempt has been made to provide the necessary basic information regarding the software.
