Author Name
Adrian Chudleigh (Author)
Being a middle manager for his whole career, Adrian's focus became that of taking care of his coworkers. Despite being told of having executive potential, he willingly sacrificed his own advancement, to remain humble and become a mentor of others while his profession and responsibilities changed. Adrian took a keen interest upon retirement in spirituality, being one of many followers of Marianne Williamson. This gave him inspiration to make effective use of his imagination and creative mind through fiction writing to continue on with his mentorship program, giving words of wisdom to others about life. Adrian was born and raised on a farm and knew what it was like to be close to nature, to experience the stillness of the night with the milky way on full display with all its glory, let alone the northern lights on a clear, frosty night. He also experienced when he could feel that he was not alone, when others would think otherwise, due to his oneness with nature. Then along came several miracles to help set himself up to learning more about spirituality when time allowed this to happen during retirement. Although the Guru represents a fictional character, you might say that the Guru is really Adrian, but certain thoughts came to him in the early hours of the morning to suggest that perhaps his thoughts were supplemented by words of wisdom from a Higher Authority. What he has been doing is also practicing what he has learned throughout his lifetime by giving of himself in retirement when it comes to volunteering. As an ambassador of the city and airport (known as a "white hatter"), Adrian spends two mornings at the airport greeting travelers and assisting with wayfinding. Travelers know he is there on his own time wanting to help them in any capacity that he is allowed. Most warm up to his presence because his western styled wardrobe comes with a reputation. His meek qualities, including noncompetitive and caring nature, is exactly what is needed to reduce stress and fear of the unknown for what could cause them to miss their flight or lose their baggage. Adrian does a further two days of volunteering a week and is something that Jimmy Carter would do in his heyday, which is to help build a home for those in need with Habitat for Humanity. He has also been on multiple international missions around the world, since there remains a need for everyone to have a safe and healthy place to live. On the last mission to the Philippines with Developing World Connections, the objective was to repair an elementary school damaged from a typhoon. Please note on this website the daily logs of every mission work he has undertaken in a separate menu option, to give you an appreciation for what it would be like, what gets done, what you learn when it comes to culture diversity, and the rewarding experienced gained.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
