When working in biology, Gloria Piper missed art. When working in art, she missed biology. It took a bout of multiple chemical sensitivities to limit her to writing. At last here was a niche in which she felt old-clothes comfortable. At last she could indulge all her interests, from art and science to nature and spirituality, from reality to fantasy. More interested in freedom and adventure than an early marriage, she piled on the experiences, such as teaching high school biology, doing farm work, directing a Christian ministry, working in Army research and development, care taking, and teaching martial arts.
