GO AWAYGo Away is a story about four people, Antonio, Estelle, Randy and Claire, plus some lesser characters who impact their lives. They all lived in the same condominium in Florida but did not know each other. For various sins, theft, and murder, to name a few, they were all in danger and had to change their identities and disappear. None of them were innocent. An explosion next door to their building, possibly a bomb, affects their disappearance. Now, they are all under suspicion. They disperse far and wide, changing their lives and their fortunes forever. In this story, we follow them through their lives, their constant fear of exposure and their personal changes.I’ve painted some complicated topics with a broad brush. Murder, theft, racism and honesty could have been examined more closely, but this is a story about people, not a lecture on morality.Following my last book, Invisible Rider, one might think I have a theme of disappearance threading through my books. The simple truth is I was fascinated with the massive number of people who disappear in the States every year and are never found. They just walk out the door and go away. I knew there were stories there. Here are a few of them. The characters will take you on a revealing ride.Enjoy.INVISIBLE RIDERInvisible Rider came from a germ of an idea a few years ago. The book took on a life of its own, as germs and stories do. The characters woke me up at night demanding attention.I'll revisit Alex, Francis, Jacob, Junie and all the other Invisible Rider characters in an upcoming sequel. Meanwhile, I wanted to share some good reviews the book has received. They're on the Canadian Amazon site and don't show up on the U.S. site.Margo M. Victoria, BC4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful new author to watch for!Reviewed in Canada on February 18, 2023A well-written and charming story of hope and resilience in the face of a future world shattered by a mysterious pandemic. The discord among the survivors – some who are trying to work together to build a new future and others who are motivated mostly by self-absorbed greediness – is highly credible given what we have seen in many communities during the recent pandemic. Yet, this is a story that gives us hope for the potential good in humanity, even while acknowledging our potential for evil.Michael G. Andrews5.0 out of 5 stars Such a great book!!Reviewed in Canada on March 13, 2023I loved this book! It was an exciting adventure with a wonderful main character. I could not put it down.Reviewed in Canada on February 9, 2023I loved this book! I could not put it down. I'm normally not a fan of futurist novels, but loved this book. The main character is fantastic and believable; and so is the story.LW5.0 out of 5 stars I could not put this book down!Reviewed in Canada on January 13, 2023I was hooked from the very first chapter. The main character is real, relatable, and we grow with her as she goes on this treacherous journey. The jump to other storylines is seamless, and adds the perfect perspective to the main narrative. All the characters bring their own depth to the story, and the author paints a perfect picture of the surroundings and backdrop to the action. I cannot wait for more offerings by this talented author.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
