C.L. Monaghan was born and raised in Lincolnshire in the UK, though she's lived in South Africa (a land of adventure and cheetah kisses!!) and has been known to pop across the pond to the US for book events. A B.A. honours degree in History and English literature feeds her creative and ensnaring paranormal romance and gothic mystery novels, which have won several awards to date, including placing as finalists in their genres in the IAN Book of the Year Awards in 2017 and Readers' Favourite Awards in 2018 for excellence in writing.An avid reader first, she was inspired by J.R.R. Tolkein, Enid Blyton, Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, and friend and mentor, indie author Ednah Walters (RIP), who encouraged C.L. to write what she wanted to read. And so, C.L. Monaghan's debut novel, Immaginario, brought her book boyfriend to life! C.L. Monaghan, a self confessed Scotophile, now lives in Scotland with her husband and children whom she homeschools, 2 cats (it's customary for writers to own several cats) and Casper the miniature schnauzer.
