Dr. Roger D Smith has had a successful career as a CTO for major corporations, government offices, and hospital systems. Combing this experience with in-depth academic research, he writes insightful books on technology leadership, business innovation, and career development.He studied mathematics and computer science in college, which led to a career in military simulation and computer gaming. While working professionally, he continued his education to earn Doctoral and Master's degrees in business management. He has serves as the Chief Technology Officer for AdventHealth's Nicholson Center; US Army Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation; and divisions of L3Harris Corp.He received the ACM Distinguished Contribution Award for his work in simulation, the Des Cummings Innovation Award from AdventHealth, the Commanders Medal for Civilian Service with the U.S. Army, the Meritorious Service Award for his work with the defense industry, and numerous others over a 30 year career.
