The main aim of our project was to formulate and characterize nicotine mouth sprays. Millions o f people have died and suffered from various diseases like cancer, stroke, blindness, heart problem, and many other chronic diseases by the consumption of raw tobacco and smoking cigarettes.

We have developed a nicotine mouth spray formulation as a type of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) to aid in smoking cessation. This spray can help reduce cravings and alleviate withdrawal symptoms for those who are trying to quit smoking or decrease their tobacco consumption.

The optimized formula was generated by the Box- Behnken design under the response surface methodology by the DoE method. Mucoadhesion studies were carried out on the prepared optimized formulation to verify the theoretical prediction.
