Part One-The Early Years: Describes a series of adventures and misadventures from my adolescence through my 30's. The reader will find both a scholarly approach, and an irreverent approach on some of the material.

Part Two Fly-Fishing with Stewart: Includes the wonderful times he and I spent together fly fishing for trout in Georgia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Montana, details include rivers, flies selected, and favorite locations. Also describes some of the risks associated with fishing certain locales.

Part Three-The Flies: Includes a chapter of some of our unusual techniques and processes, a chapter on tying mayflies and another on tying caddis flies. Focus is on natural materials and the importance of CDC feathers to replicate movement.

Part Four-Stories from the Book of Life: This Part also includes both scholarly and other material on fly-fishing with clients, hunting alligators, offshore fishing, hunting in Maine and an unfortunate shooting, Northern NC rivers, fishing knots, the mental processes we go through in making choices, and the various approaches to trout fishing. .
