Felix and Everly's Mini Adventures is my first chapter book series after a childhood of reading every book I could get my hands on while growing up in Brazil. I moved to the U.K. as a young adult and eventually moved to Northumberland, with its wild tumbling seas and windswept hills. The books are a wonderful joint family project, with my husband doing the cover art and illustrations.The first 4 books in the series follow the seasons, with 'The Wild Garden' kicking things off in spring in Northumberland followed by 'The Big City' adventure in Newcastle and 'The Old Woods' which returns to Northumberland in the autumn. The winter story rounds off the first 4 books, with a classic Christmas tale in the ‘Best Christmas (Ever)’.Book 5 is set 2 years later and takes place on the beautiful island of Lindisfarne, with a range of wildlife and local attractions making an appearance in a fun, jam packed adventure. The North East of England is our home and there is so much inspiration where we live. The books are available in small indie shops in north Northumberland and the local community has been very supportive and welcoming. Northumberland is our home and we are raising a young family alongside a cat and a dog in a small village near the coast.I love the countryside, nature, walks and animals so my work reflects these interests and I hope the books showcase a little of the natural wonders of our local area.
