A resistência à humidade pós-moldagem de corantes ácidos não metalizados de diferentes tamanhos moleculares foi também comparada neste estudo. Os tecidos de nylon 6 e 66 foram tingidos com 3 conjuntos de corantes, nomeadamente, os corantes NYLOSAN E, NYLOSAN N e NYLOSAN S de diferentes tamanhos moleculares a 105ºC durante 10-20 minutos, dependendo da tonalidade.
De seguida, os tecidos foram submetidos a uma fixação a 70ºC durante 25 minutos. Os tecidos acabados foram depois moldados numa máquina de moldagem de contornos a 195ºC durante 60s.
Foram realizados testes de resistência à cor em húmido AATCC e o desempenho das amostras foi comparado. .
