Dr. Kimberly Smith Dauterive M.D is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician. She was born in Washington D.C. but grew up in St. Martinville, LA. She was raised as an only child by her phenomenal mother, Lorraine Savoy, in a single parent household where she learned how to be strong despite the obstacles, courageously independent, and how to boldly live life with purpose. Dr. Kimberly Smith Dauterive M.D graduated as salutatorian of her class in 1989 from St. Martinville Senior High School in St. Martinville, LA then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993 from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA; her Master of Science Degree in 1996 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, LA (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette); and her Doctor of Medicine Degree in 2000 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. She is the owner of JKL Healthcare Services, a private medical practice located in New Iberia LA, and provides exemplary personalized healthcare to her patients using both allopathic and holistic medicine to meet her patient’s needs. Her motto is that total patient care means “healing the mind, body, and spirit”. She is the co-owner of Total Health and Wellness and PKD Housing Rentals, LLC, and co-founder of the Phillip Poppa Dauterive III Foundation created in honor of her 9-year-old son who was tragically taken from her and her family.
