Tyree Whitworth, emancipated at the age of 16, has navigated life's challenges independently ever since. Raised by an English teacher who instilled in him a love for storytelling, Tyree discovered his passion for writing early on starting with poetry. His debut novel, Entangled Desires, explores the lessons people encounter in their everyday lives.At 35, Tyree earned a place on the Part-time Dean's List and was recognized for his academic excellence by being invited into multiple honor societies. He proudly accepted membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK).When not writing, Tyree enjoys playing basketball, coaching youth in his area, and planning ways to give back to the next generation. His diverse experiences, from homelessness to serving 18 months in prison, along with his travels, fuel his intricate and immersive storytelling.Born in Queens, NY, and raised between Brooklyn, NY, and Maryland. A family nurtured Tyree not his own. He now lives in Long Island with his wife and two sons.
