Born and raised in a small town in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. Leroy was influenced early on by many teachers that helped him develop a deep appreciation for the power of education in shaping student’s lives. Leroy has over 25 years of experience working in the field of education holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Bachelor of Education Degree and a Masters in Special Education. Leroy has been a classroom teacher, a special education teacher, a School Principal in Elementary, Middle and Secondary Schools and has deep rooted passion for at risk and vulnerable students and takes a great deal of pride in doing everything he can to help students that struggle in school. Leroy has coached multiple sports for the past 25 years, which include competitive swimming and basketball. Volunteering his time to aid students in their athletic pursuits is of great importance to Leroy as he believes giving back to the community is very important. Leroy has made a significant impact on the lives of countless students, parents, and educators. Leroy’s leadership style is characterized by a strong emphasis on relationships, collaboration, communication, and trust-building. He believes that by fostering a positive and supportive school culture, students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
