Christa Avampato (Author)
I combine business, storytelling, and science to build a better world for all beings. I've been called the happiest New Yorker, and I try hard to live up to that title every day. I live my life spherically, in many different directions. I'm an award-winning author, freelance journalist, biomimicry scientist, sustainability leader, and product developer. I'm also an environmental, health, and arts advocate, as well as a theater and film producer. The first book in my young adult book series, Emerson Page and Where the Light Enters, was published in November 2017. The second book, Emerson Page and Where the Light Leads, will be published in May 2024.Inspired by ancient wisdom and modern technology, I'm a proud alumna of the University of Pennsylvania (BA), the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia (MBA), and Arizona State University (Graduate program in Biomimicry). I'm currently working on my Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership at University of Cambridge.I'm a proliferator of goodness, opener of doors, friend to animal, and fan of creative work in all its wondrous forms. A recovering multi-tasker, I'm equally at home in front of my Mac, on my yoga mat, traveling with a purpose, or practicing the high art of people watching. I also cut up small bits of paper and put them back together as a collage artist. My rescue soul dog, Phineas, was my constant companion for 13 1/2 beautiful years. He passed away in January 2024 and his spirit is with me always. Someday soon, I know he'll send me another rescue dog who needs me.Contact info:Email - christa dot avampato at gmail dot comWebsites - christaavampato dot com and emersonpagebook dot wordpress dot comLinkedIn - christaavampatoInstagram - christarosenycThreads - christarosenycTwitter - christanycI look forward to the conversation.--A little more about me if you're curious:My career has stretched across Capitol Hill, Broadway theatre, performing arts, education, nonprofit fundraising, health and wellness, and Fortune 500 companies in retail, media, entertainment, technology, and financial services.
