Ellis Man lives with his grandparents in a small, isolated village. During a wander in the forest, he discovers an ancient gate that transports him to another dimension.

This fills him with a sense of something significant, but he doesn't fully understand it. Shortly after, a mysterious stranger, Daniel Harrow, reveals the truth about Ellis's origins and his unique abilities as a Key Keeper, capable of opening gates to other dimensions.

Daniel invites Ellis to join the Lux Nova Academy of Dimensional Arts, where he will learn to control his powers. At the Academy, Ellis forms strong bonds with new friends, such as Phoebe Burke and Killian Reeve.
