Iván Gilabert was born in Barcelona in August 1972. He studied graphic design, advertising, digital marketing, and e-commerce. From a very young age, he had two passions: the sea and reading.He eventually turned his first passion into his profession. In 1995, he embarked on an adventure that would tie him to the world of the sea as a commercial and technical diving equipment specialist, and scuba diving instructor, teaching recreational and technical diving classes for over twenty years. During that time, he traveled and enjoyed diving among coral reefs, sunken ships, caves, mountain lakes, under ice, and countless magical places until a knee injury put an end to this professional adventure.His second passion, reading, was always present. He grew up reading books by Julio Verne, J.J. Benítez, Stephen King, Asimov, Robin Cook, and any other author who could distract his mind for hours. Living incredible adventures through books was a sensation that always seemed magical to him. And one day, unexpectedly, a third passion emerged from those long months of immobilization and recovery from several knee surgeries, a hobby that had remained dormant until then: writing.In October 2106, "Atlantes" was released; in April 2017, "Diario del Viajero"; in July 2018, "La Roca Sagrada", published by La Esfera de los Libros; in July 2019, "Virus Z" saw the light; in August 2020, "Cuatro" was published; and in April 2024, his latest book was released: "El Señor del Tiempo". In addition to translating one of his books into English, "Traveler's Journal," a story that has received excellent reviews since its publication.He has also published several short stories for different websites and blogs.
