About The Author:Dr. Jeremy Yeats was born in Boulder, Colorado, in 1982.

He is a descendant of the famed Irish poet William Butler Yeats, but his journey is uniquely his own. From a young age, Jeremy was fascinated by Native American and Hispanic cultures.

This passion expanded to include the diversity of island cultures during his nine years living in Hawai’i, where he immersed himself in the Hawai’i culture-sharing group, learning from the island’s rich melting pot of traditions and communities. Jeremy picked up his first ukulele at the age of 12, igniting a lifelong passion for music.

By 23, he was fully committed to his craft, eventually becoming a professional musician in 2007. His academic journey led him to a distinguished career as a college professor, where he spent over 12 years dedicated to culturally responsive teaching and research.

As the frontman of the band Rippah Shreddahs, Jeremy blends his musical talents with his academic expertise to challenge conventional norms. His work aims to inspire and create positive change using a combination of education, music, and social justice initiatives.
