I was born in 1959 in a East Side suburban part of Oslo, Norway's capitol. Grew up with middleclass parents. This part of the City was a hard place, and my youth was not a good one. But I survived my childhood, came out on the other side to be a teenager with some seriously bad attitude problems. My teenager life was a turbulent one, always living on the edge. Enlisted the Norwegian armed forces when I was 19, only way to get out. Making a long story short, finnished the military after the mandatory time, got work, got married, got kids. Got debt, more work, got an urge to write, started my first book in -90; The Stone Mirror. Had to rewrite it a few times. Got into a serious car accident in 2000, messed up my memories, both short-term and long-term in addition to take away my ability to learn. I can build on what I have, but to learn new stuff is hard. Got divorced, got married again, one more kid, more dogs, moved a lot around. All this time I have been practising my martial art, began in -79, still going on. And thanks to this, now I can finnaly begin to learn new stuff. My memory has been a big jumble due to a brain that tells me what to remember and what not. My wife has been my light and my rock all these years, she had been there when bad memories comes to the surface, when I act and react in ways we both see are from another past. I use my writings as a means to reset my memories, to get hold of those moments I want to remember, and to explain a lot about my views on todays society and our history.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
