Dream On is a family saga involving multiple generations where dreams of previous generations are conveyed through the descendants to materialize in distant futures. The story starts in British India and runs through the tumultuous history of the Indian subcontinent through the independence of India, division of the subcontinent, injustices of Pakistani juntas, and rise of a Bengali nation.

The family saga continued to move through generations migrated to the west, establishing the roots, and working hard and smart to attain the dreams by immersing into the great American melting pot. This story includes several modern-day migrations intertwined with the life-journeys of patriarchs and the change in socio-political landscape of the people around the characters.

It resembles the dreams and stories of millions of immigrants coming to America and especially those from the Indian subcontinent. Though “Man is the Dream of the Dolphin” or maybe for every other life in the world, our dreams move through our descendants and our achievements are the culmination of the work done by our ancestors that form our body and psyche.

The novel tells an uplifting story of human triumph. It describes the journey of love, hopes and dreams for us humans… to provide better lives for our future generations.
