Bert is an author and editor who has always been one to read anything put in front of him, a passion he still enjoys, reading in all genres. Long ago, when text-based browsers still roamed the earth, he had many short pieces published on various webzines that no longer exist, covering genres from non-fiction to horror to sci-fi to erotica. He also had a non-fiction story about his older son published in a collection of stories about premature babies.Then life raising said older son, as well as the implied younger son, interceded, and he found little time to write. Now, as his sons are adults, he has begun finding more time to write. He has recently been published in multiple anthologies of flash fiction as well as in a magazine dedicated to supporting children with special needs. He also has multiple non-fiction and fiction pieces accepted for future publication.When not writing, he is active as a martial arts instructor, software developer, an amateur chef, and a strong proponent for disability rights and empowerment of women. You are just as likely to find him in front of a keyboard, on a martial arts mat, baking banana bread, or sitting cross-legged in a used bookstore soaking up the bibliophilic aroma and feeding his addiction for rare or unusual cookbooks.He lives in Arkansas with Carrie, a.k.a My Gorgeous Bride, the wife he doesn’t deserve; his older son, Zak; two Corgis who rightly believe they are royalty; and a lovable but spoiled brat of a toy poodle.
