OURAD, on 12 January 1962. After an excellent primary and secondary education in the H-Dey district of Algiers, he entered the École Nationale des Travaux Publics, from which he graduated as an engineer. In the meantime, he immersed himself body and soul in the Berber Spring, then in theatre with the Dey troupe, La Citadelle, alongside experienced actors such as Medjoubi, Benguettaf and Sonia, and above all the Debza troupe, dear to Kateb Yacine, whom he knew and who welcomed him with open arms. After moving to England in 1993, he joined the University of Birmingham, where he obtained a Master's degree in his field and worked as a research associate. He is now a successful International Expert in Road Economics. An engineer and an artist, he is now determined to add another string to his bow, that of writing. Ce que relate ce livre de Akli Ourad n'a, en apparence, rien à voir avec la douloureuse actualité de Ghaza, pas plus avec le drame du 7 octobre. Il raconte dans ce qui s'apparente à un thriller au cœur d'Israël et de la Palestine, encore sous le joug des militaires etdes colons occupants.

Cela se passait, il y a un quart de siècle ! On était encore loin de la meurtrière guerre d'aujourd'hui. Loin des 1200 morts israéliens et des 40000 habitants de Ghaza ànéantis, aujourd'hui.

Akli Ourad nous livre dans ce récit ce qu'il a vu et vécu en Israël et dans les territoires occupés, il y a vingt cinq ans alors que parti de Londres, pour une mission d'ingénierie, il s'est retrouvé piégé par l'absurde, souvent par l'innommable. Akli Ourad est juste un œil qui conte.
