Hello, my name is Jesús Acosta, and I am the author of the book "Within My Cell, But Free," published by Alexander Vivas through Imagilab Publishing.In this book, which I wrote with the purpose of helping anyone who may find themselves going through a difficult moment, where due to suffering and despair, they may feel hopeless and even without the will to live.As you will read in the book, I am currently in a situation that is indeed quite complicated and very sad.For this reason, as a Christian myself, and having been liberated by the Lord Jesus Christ from a very sad and conflicted life, I feel it is my duty and obligation to share these words of encouragement with you.I do this because, despite my current situation of being in this maximum-security cell, as I share in my testimony, it was in this dark and uncertain place that I found true freedom, the freedom that Christ gives us.By sharing my life with you as I do in this book, I am aware that nowadays there are many, many people who, despite being physically free in society, still live a life without hope and without any purpose, not to mention the bonds to sins and questionable customs they may be enslaved to.In fact, in the world we live in, a fallen world destroyed by sin, many feel despised, isolated, very sad, and extremely empty and lost within themselves. Unfortunately, this has always been and will continue to be the case.Living as we do in a world so full of misery and selfishness, where everyone is running their own race without caring at all about others, suffering and injustice are realities we must live with.However, amid all this, while it is true, we cannot hide from reality, there is also a way out, there is hope, there is a new dawn.The Son of God has come into the world to undo the works of the devil and to bring a sure and glorious hope to all those who place their trust in Him.For you, who are listening to this exhortation, there is no need to remain in that state of hopelessness and purposelessness.You should understand that, having been created in the image and likeness of God, you have been created for better things.I implore you to understand that in Christ Jesus, there is hope, in Christ Jesus, there is healing, in Christ Jesus, there is true liberation—spiritual liberation.I am not telling you this because I heard it or was told by someone else. As I share my life and personal experiences throughout this book, I do so with the authority and confidence that comes from having lived through it myself. There were moments in my life when I thought there was no way out, no solution.In fact, I often thought in despair of finding a way to end it all, to end all the pain and confusion, to cease to exist and no longer suffer.
