Shoaib Ahmad has doctorate in physics. He worked and taught physics at British and Pakistani universities and research institutions. Besides publishing in physics journals, he writes on energy, social and cultural issues for the non-specialists, in English and Urdu. In recent years he has extended his experimental research the to self-organizing, information generating nanostructures to developing mathematical models that can be applied to the emerging social and cultural dynamical systems. His information model (bases on the probability distributions of the emerging events) can generate comprehensive profiles of the energy dissipating, information-generating events and epidemics. His recent book ‘The Self-Organizing Soot’ has been published as eBook and paperback and hardcover on Kindle and Amazon. The book describes the closed cages of carbon, the fullerenes and nanotubes emerging out of the hot, condensing carbon Soot. Internal fragmentation forces of the ensembles of colliding cages with each other and with the container walls lead to the Cage-to-Cage transformations and the emerging C2 gas. The experimental results of the emergence of the Buckyball-C60 and the carbon nanotubes out of the self-organizing, interactive gases of the fullerenes and C2 are explained by the continuum elastic, quantum mechanical and the information-theoretic Source-Reservoir-Sink models.
