William G. (Bill) Hoy has been walking with the dying and bereaved for more than 30 years. With experiences in hospice, faith community, schools, bereavement center, and university, Dr. Hoy has worked with people whose loved ones were dying or had died from a diversity of causes.Bill is passionate about making sure the dying and bereaved are treated with compassion and understanding. His vision to improve care at the end of life is a major reason he teaches principles of spirituality, cross-cultural awareness, bereavement, and end-of-life care to pre-med students at Baylor University. As a Clinical Professor of Medical Humanities, he has joined with other faculty members in developing health care professionals who will deliver unparalleled, compassionate, scientifically-excellent care.He and his wife Debbie live in rural central Texas, about 25 miles west of the Baylor campus and they have two young adult children, Carolyn and Greg.
