Dr. Christine Harrington is a national expert in student success and teaching and learning (visit www.scholarlyteaching.org for teaching resources). She has worked in higher education for almost 20 years. At Middlesex County College, she worked as a counselor for seven years before becoming a professor of psychology and student success. She also served as the First-Year Seminar course coordinator and as the Director for the Center for the Enrichment of Learning and Teaching. Christine has also been teaching part-time in the Learning and Teaching Department within the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University. Most recently, Christine is serving a 2-year appointment as the Executive Director for the Center for Student Success at the New Jersey Council of County Colleges. In this role, she assists all 19 New Jersey community colleges with implementing Guided Pathways to improve student success outcomes. At the conclusion of her two-year term, she will be returning to the classroom, teaching student success and psychology again at Middlesex County College. Christine earned her B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling and Personnel Services from The College of New Jersey and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
