I live in Manchester, England. I write (and publish, via my own company, Spenwood Books) ‘people’s histories’ on classic rock acts such as the Faces, Thin Lizzy, Queen, Cream, Rush, the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Smiths and The Jam. I have compiled authorised fanthologies on Jethro Tull, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Simple Minds, the Stranglers, Fairport Convention and Shaun Ryder, and co-written two books with David Gedge, lead singer with 'semi legendary' indie band The Wedding Present. I am presently compiling material for people’s histories on Slade and Neil Young. When I'm not writing, or running my own publishing company Spenwood Books (which specialises in books about music), I support Northampton Town and Manchester City football clubs, walk my dog and go to gigs.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
