This is a detective story about a supposed crime against the Earth. If the Earth and its ecosystems are at risk due to climate change who is the criminal ? We are told that the evil ways of the Capitalist West are to blame and particularly the use of fossil fuels.

The 'vicious poison' CO2 is to blame 'according to scientists' and the green lobby. But is it true? What other forces can and do influence climate? This book explores climate on times scales of decades to millions of years and we name the other guilty parties involved.

The fact is the atmospheric and oceanic systems of the planet are complex, non-linear and time varying. Many natural cycles are in play on time scales of decades, centuries and millennia.

We will examine these in detail and show that their temperature variations are larger in magnitude than the recent tiny up-trend attributed to manmade greenhouse gases like CO2. We will use spectral 'fingerprinting' to examine all the suspects involved in global warming including variations in the radiation and particle output of the Sun and its magnetic field.

We will show that the 'fingerprints of the Sun are all over temperature and other climate variables. The IPCC climate models which have generated the 'Climate Crisis' hysteria are also examined in detail and their remarkable weaknesses exposed.

They cannot even explain the past climate adequately. They do not model convincingly the already apparent responses of the biosphere to increased CO2 (plant food) levels.

Over 55% of CO2 emissions have already been taken out of the atmosphere by lifeforms. Finally we try to place the current changes in the context of the last 12,000 years and the next.

Very probably ,looking at historic global and regional temperature trends, we are already on the down slide into the next Ice Age. In the coming centuries the Earth will cool and the CO2 Crisis will show up in the record, if at all, as a small, insignificant blip.

Meanwhile the green lobby is determined to wreck Western and Developing economies for faulted ideological reasons. .
