Marine Safety Officers, Ocean Lifeguards, rescues, riots, storm surf, law enforcement, Jr. Lifeguard Program Development, all played a part in the many challenges faced by Lifeguard legend, Douglas D'Arnall, during his 35 year career with the city of Huntington Beach, CA.

. His Story will chronical how he gravitated to a lifelong career in lifesaving and became an integral part of a growing Department in a rapidly growing beach community.

He will detail some of his most challenging lifeguard incidents, and those on the humorous side as well. And, some shocking revelations will be revealed pertaining to his involvement in the politics and bureaucracy of his department and the city.

Many photos highlight his experiences, including those relating to the Jr. Lifeguard Program, history of Tower Zero, and the major riots and storms.
