Taylor Curtis is a pen name for Michael Lund. Professor Emeritus of English at Longwood University. In addition to having published scholarly books and articles about 19th-and 20th-century British and American literature, he is the author of novels inspired by Route 66, America’s Mother Road. Lund also directs Home and Abroad, a free writing program for military, veterans, and family, in rural central Virginia. Several dozen of his recent short stories reflecting military experience have appeared in contemporary journals, including “Left-Hearted,” Line of Advance (2016); reprinted in Our Best War Stories: An Anthology of Darron L. Wright Award Winners. Middle West Press (October 2020).
