D. Raye was born in 1968 in small-town in Missouri and raised in Southeast Kansas. After struggling through high school and everyday life, she was diagnosed with dyslexia in her early twenties. Eager to overcome this adversity, she continued to educate herself. In her late forties, she wrote her first novel, Birth of Darkness A Twisted Fairytale, published Nov 16, 2019. Her love for art and culture has taken her to many countries where she explores her talent for photography and history. D. Raye is the owner/creator of Clay Foundation Sculptures where she creates custom one of a kind sculptures. Another self-taught talent. Dance has always been part of her life – from a young child through adulthood. As an adult, she participated and led a Praise and Worship team for thirteen years. She has a passion for life and living every moment to its fullest. Her love for traveling abroad is the very thing that inspired her to write her first novel; triggering a new adventure. Dance.
