I taught elementary school for twenty-five years and loved it. Most of my career was in Kindergarten but, I also taught first, second, and third grades. My family includes my son, daughter in law, five grandchildren and lots of greats who are all healthy and beautiful. I have been a widow since 2003 and I live on a lake in Alabama now with my Yorkshire Terrier, Beau. I enjoy family, friends, gardening, crocheting, boating, writing and painting and I like to think I am open to new adventures.No, Beau! was my first children’s book and it was so fun to do! I published a No, Beau! Coloring Book next and that was followed by Beau and Friends and Beau's Christmas Time. These books are designed to promote early reading skills. All the storybooks have an emphasis on context clues as the illustrations provide insight to the text, sight word recognition with a sight word list at the end, and repetitive text for confidence building. Each storybook also has comprehension questions at the end of the story to emphasize understanding concepts. I am planning many more Beau Books as the possibilities are endless and they are loved.
