SHIGERU ONODA, a native of Japan, graduated from the JAPAN SHIATSU COLLEGE of Tokyo in April 1981, the only official school for Shiatsu apprenticeship in Japan, where he learned Shiatsu with Masters Tokujiro Namikoshi, Toru Namikoshi and Matsuko Namikoshi. After graduating as a Shiatsu therapist and tak- ing the state exam which grant him a license to practice Shiatsu in Ja- pan, he devoted himself to studying and researching Sotai-Ho and other therapeutic techniques in addition to working as a shiatsu therapist in various clinics.In June 1984 he set up his own clinic in Spain and began introducing Shiatsu to our country which, at that time, was practically unknown.He founded the Spanish Associ- ation of Benkyokai Shiatsu in 1991 which brought together the students who had learned from him and little by little Shiatsu opened a space of its own in Spain and its therapeutic effectiveness becoming more well known every day.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
