Dr Sue Roffey FRSA FBPsS is an Honorary Professor at University College London. She was a teacher and educational psychologist for many years and is on several Advisory Boards for mental health in schools and revisioning education. She has written over 20 books with several translations and revised editions and as many invited chapters. Sue is one of 18 educational experts interviewed for the Quest for Optimal Learning (2023) and is in demand internationally as a keynote speaker.It took over a decade to develop the ASPIRE principles of Agency, Safety, Positivity, Inclusion, Respect and Equity and a year writing the two books that explore these in depth, one for Early Years and Primary and one for Secondary. These are published in the summer of 2024, each supported by examples in practice from around the world. We desperately need education to be aligned with healthy child development, that promotes enthusiasm for learning and creates a safer, fairer, kinder world.
