I was born in the South of Norway, in the bible belt. I have been an Asatru since i was around five years old, but it was only when I was around 30 that I was Asatru publicly. Because when i was confirmation age, fourteen, i looked up Asatru groups in Norway. because i wanted to be confirmed in Asatru. Then i came across a very racist group called Vigrid, and i felt such shame that i ended up hiding my beliefs. Only when i was around 30 did i put on my very first Mjolnir necklace. Very few in my family accepted my religion, which led to me severing ties with many of them. Having been bullied and abused most of my life, the only thing that kept me here in Midgard all those years, are the Asir and Vanir. Not to mention my Fylgje and Hamingja. I pray to the Asir and Vanir that i can build a Hov and have a house one day, but i know my Wyrd. I hope to see the Asir, Vanir and my ancestors when i leave Midgard, and maybe i can find peace in Helheim.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
