Julia is an old-fashioned girl. Literally.

Her clothes are old, and she's never seen anything made in the last 50 years. Julia has spent each of her twenty-two years on her family's isolated homestead, surrounded by the same handful of people.

She's heard stories of the world beyond the creek and the woods, and she longs to run away and experience this world for herself. Ty just got fired from his job, and now that he's lost in the middle of nowhere, he also just got fired at.

Life has been lonely, disappointing, and confusing for Ty. He thought he'd reached the bottom, but after starving for three days and almost getting shot by a stranger, he is forced to reconsider.

However, when he meets the beautiful and intriguing Julia, all of the events that led Ty to this point don't seem so bad after all. Ty and Julia could not be more different.

He's a college graduate, she's never set foot in a school. He lives alone, she is surrounded by family.
