Marcy is a retired teacher who is now ‘catching her dream’ of being a published author. Although she has been writing her entire life, romance fiction is a new adventure. After giving most of her attention to publishing magazine articles and sketching ideas for young adult literature stories, success came when she least expected it. About halfway through her first novel, Deception & Consequences, she knew she was on to something. Almost manically completing the other three books in the Vengeance Series, Marcy sought publication and initially self-published but then got picked up by Words Matter Publishing. Deception & Consequences came out in March and went number one in sales for its genre on Ingram in fifteen days. The other three books in the series will roll out in 2024. “I’ve spent a lifetime writing, never dreaming of being a romance-suspense author, but it just happened,” Marcy explained. When asked what was next she replied that she was busy promoting her series and still writing romance novels. “I have several stand-alone romance-suspense novels waiting in the wings, and one could become a series.
