Hello everyone! As you can guess, Conjure Companion is not my real name. It is a ghost writer name I came up with because I am paranoid and have bad experiences with people knowing who I am. Conjure Companion is for my own book writing projects and is not a publishing house of hired writers, just thought you'd like to know you are getting books actually written by me, and I am a real person. I had a hobby several years ago of writing stories and poems. However about 8 years ago, I suffered several mental damage and quit writing, because it ruined a lot of my mind and heart, which weren't the brightest tools in the shed to begin with. I never published anything until now with Light From a Shining Star, which I started as a challenge in November, being National Write a Novel Month. It took me until Christmas to finish writing and figure out how to get everything formatted and published on Amazon KDP. I hope to write more stories again, though it has gotten harder for me to do so, and I'd like to try out different ideas. The challenge to write a novel was something I issued to a friend of mine, who was also going through similar issues, and I thought it wasn't fair of me to encourage him, yet not walk the talk myself. As I am usually good at getting myself into these messes, and unprepared as well, I suddenly found myself staring at a blank Word doc wondering, now what? What came out over the next month was a mess that expressed the pain I was in, especially from an abusive supervisor from a job I was forced to quit recently, because of how bad that person harmed my mental health. A lot of bad came from that experience and it added to many other past horrible experiences that were devastating, it was reflected in the book, with a hope of creating something that might help others going through similar issues of abuse and pain. The story's character, Nur, uses her talents to create music with her newly made friends, and spread the message of treating others with kindness and believing in yourself, that you can create something good, even in adversity. It's my hope that I can be of help to others and share what I can, and more importantly, build someone up and encourage others to reach inside themselves and share their talents with us all.
