From the time I was little I wanted to become an artist and I was fortunate to have two aunts who were artist and I embraced the knowledge they shared with me. The large farm I grew up on, surrounded by acres of fields and forest, fueled my imagination to draw, paint and sculpt. While attending college many of my English professors encouraged me to write but I had never thought about that endeavor and continued on my path of studying business and art. But that changed when my very young son asked me to write him a book to read at bedtime to his future children. The books I write and illustrate today, and in the future, contain subtle messages of learning environmental stewardship, hope in the ability to form and grow lasting positive relationships, faith in those things that we do not see, and always the joy of imagination.
