Author Name
Piotr Pietrzak (Editor)
PIOTR PIETRZAK, Ph.D., is a co-founder of In Statu Nascendi Think Tank a non-partisan, independent, and highly diversified network of scholars organized to study a contemporary conflict and political philosophy that provides advice and ideas on specific issues related to geoeconomic, political, or socio-economic problems. He immerses himself in geopolitics every day. As a political thinker, author, and trained ontologist, he takes pride in infusing a pragmatic perspective into IR theory, conflict management, and geopolitics. Pietrzak belongs to the group of scholars who presents a strong case for the emergence of the sixth great debate in international relations theory, which will reconceptualize the way our tradition approaches Russia’s war in Ukraine. It demands that we revisit some of our main points of theoretical departure to approach this conflict from a more holistic perspective. He claims that IR theory is aptly positioned in social science, but it needs more clarity to meet the challenges of tomorrow. In this respect, ontology in statu nascnedi can act as a new tool allowing better interconnectedness of various traditions, paradigms, and approaches and a new compartmentalization of those theories that can support our efforts to address such challenges as dealing with new technologies, utilizing artificial intelligence in our scientific deliberations, investigating cybersecurity, dealing with pandemics, and providing new insights into conflict management with better tools to describe various regional conflicts of global importance. It can be useful in a more holistic manner of approaching issues related to autonomous weapons systems, asymmetric warfare, climate change, and societal inequalities. He coined the term ontology in statu nascendi, which helps him to approach the great debates within the IR theory in a more coordinated manner to make it easier to approach the events in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans through the prism of various other developments in the contemporary world of politics.Pietrzak is also the author of On the Idea of Humanitarian Intervention : A New Compartmentalization of IR Theories (2021), editor of Dealing with Regional Conflicts of Global Importance (2024), & Analyzing Global Responses to Contemporary Regional Conflicts (2024), & Exploring the Implications of Local and Regional Conflicts (2024). He is a non-tenure lecturer at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" | Former Postdoctoral Researcher at Airlangga University in Indonesia (2022 - 2023) | Former Editor in Chief of In Statu Nascendi: Journal of Political Philosophy and International Relations.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
