Gordon Knight spent 40 years cruising under sail, mostly in Northern European and Mediterranean waters. During that time, as an admin on the World Cruising Wiki, he largely created several Mediterranean sections. He now spends part of the year cruising the European inland waterways with his wife Soophy in their 12m Dutch steel motor yacht 'Cheyenne'. A long-standing member of the European Inland Waterways Section (EIWS) of the UK's 6,400 member Cruising Association, he writes or edits the Section’s 25 guides to the inland waterways of Europe.These include: 'An Introduction to the European Inland Waterways'; 'Cruising the Inland Waterways of France and Belgium'; 'Through France via the Inland Waterways'; '50 Great Cruising Routes in the Netherlands'; 'Through the Netherlands via the Standing Mast Routes'; 'Cruising the Dutch Islands of the Waddenzee'; 'Cruising the River Moselle/Mosel' and 'The German Rhine'.
