Maci is a five-time self-published author. At the age of eight, she told her parents that she wanted to write and illustrate a book. Her parents explained to her that if she learned to do every single part of the process (storyboarding, writing, illustrating, page layout, choosing fonts, etc.) along with her dad, then they would help self-publish a book. She finished the process in 3-4 months with her first picture book titled Maci and Addie's Fairy Adventure, followed by her second picture book The Portal. During the challenging year that was 2020, when most kids were faced with adversity, ten-year-old Maci harnessed her creative spirit (and extreme boredom) to complete the initial installment of the series, titled Ally Lancaster & The Enchanted Fortress, marking her third literary endeavor and her inaugural novella. Two years later, at the age of 12, she completed the sequel, Ally Lancaster & The Gemstone Sirens. While working on finishing up Ally Lancaster & The Gemstone Sirens, Maci toyed around with an idea for a middle-grade time travel mystery, which turned into her third novella, The Stone of the Past.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
