Bill Shuey was born in 1943. He grew up on a cattle farm in rural Missouri, spent 20 years in the United States Air Force, worked as a quality control supervisor on nuclear power plants, a project manager for lignite power plant renovations, and entrepreneur. He has sold his business holdings and now lives along the banks of the St. Johns River in Central Florida. When he isn't traveling the highways and byways of America, in his motorhome or on book signing tours, or sitting behind a word processor, he can be found in his bass boat. He lives with Gloria, his wife of many years. His weekly ObverseView column delves into the human experience and discusses a variety of topics each Saturday morning.Shuey is the author of more than fifty books. They run the gambit from Bible and Quran commentaries to murder mysteries. He has written more than thirty western books. Based on his background in the military, Shuey's latest project is a series of books on the fictional charter of Allen Stevens - The Problem Solver.
