My name is Asha, and I live in The Netherlands. Originally from India, I moved here when I was very young. I have been a teacher in secondary education for eighteen years and am currently a full-time writer.From an early age, I was fond of reading and spent hours lost in stories and adventures. I started writing when I was about ten years old, keeping journals and writing short stories, poems, and limericks. While I consider some of my early work quite cringeworthy, it ignited my passion for writing. As I got older and responsibilities increased, I found less time for writing and eventually took a break from it. However, about a year ago, I was inspired by a story idea that had been on my mind for a while.I have always been a fan of young adult and new adult fiction, particularly in the LGBTQ+ genre. Growing up queer is challenging, even under the best circumstances. With nearly two decades of teaching experience, I have witnessed both the resilience and struggles of many of my queer students. This inspired me to return to my childhood hobby with renewed passion.We live in a world where self-determination for women, LGBTQ+, and trans rights are under threat daily, even in countries we once thought safe. Harmful legislation is causing immense damage to people who simply want to be their true selves.My first novel, All Queer but One, was released in April. Three more novels are set to be released later this year.
