A century later the Belgian city gave his name to a new tunnel as part of a broader project at the train station Gent Sint-Pieters. (English and Dutch) Timicheg was één van de Bontoc Igorots uit de Filippijnen die werden tentoongesteld in het zogenaamde "Village Philippin", een zoo humain op de Wereldtentoonstelling in Gent 1913.
Daar stierf hij als gevolg van de barre omstandigheden. Een eeuw later gaf de stad Gent zijn naam aan een nieuwe tunnel als deel van het ruimere Sint-Pietersstation project.
