This first novel presents a grand adventure about a golden stone, the mystical education of a young boy, and a journey with his brother and friends to The Kingdom of Chthonic. Through this epic journey the young boy, with his brother and friends, travel to a magical kingdom, battle an evil warlock, his army, and his fire-eating dragons to save a magical kingdom and its people, a king and queen, and an old wizard with the help of the Magical Golden Stone.

With the discovery of the golden stone by this young boy and his beginning as a young wizard, his future is governed by the laws of the golden stone. As a Wizard, this young boy is tutored and granted the ability to perform secret magical powers and perform powerful spells.

This adventure commences in a beautiful area called the Mystic River Basin in central Illinois in the 1940s with the early life of this young boy living on a farm with his mother, father, and brother in the center of North America, just outside a small village that is called Milwood. John, his brother Jess, and four friends travel to The Kingdom of Chthonic to battle Sir Hugo and his dragons to save the kingdom.
