Stacy Lamar King was born in Thomaston, Georgia. He is the second oldest of four siblings, who were all raised in Buffalo, NY.Stacy was an avid reader from an early age, and stories fueled an imagination that gave him the courage to leave home at 18. His life would lead him to travels that took him to the Marines and from there the world. In 2006, after 22 years of service, Stacy took off the uniform for the last time and entered corporate America. The land of suits and ties.After the Marine Corps, every other job was just a job. So in 2016 after a decade of sleepless nights, lost hair, and corporate programming, Stacy took a leap of faith and took off the suit for the last time. Stacy was baptized on Good Friday in the year of our Lord 2016 in balmy Phoenix Arizona with his best friend and future wife Denice. He came out of that water a playwright. She came out a playwrights muse. They were also dedicated to the Lord. They have never looked back. In June of 2016 Stacy published Where There's Faith There's Grace. This play is timeless and looks at the early relationship of Joseph and Mary from a 21st century perspective. The reader is weaved through the emotions of young love, responsibility of unimaginable levels, and the support we need in our lives to meet challenges head on. It's a love story on multiple levels.In November of 2017 Stacy published The Fruits of the Spirit. It is the second play in the Jesus Chronicles series. This play takes the reader inside the family and work life of the Messiah. Here they can see Jesus through the eyes of his family and dealing with issues they are familiar with.In 2018 Stacy will publish I Am He the last play in the Jesus Chronicles series. This play takes the reader along the incredible journey of Jesus and his poor righteous teachers as they show the world something it had never seen before. The Good News. It's personal, it's intimate. and it's an incredible journey.
