Art is a wonderful way to communicate feelings, ideas and stories without the impediment and restrictive use of words. Art has infinite interpretations and only one.

So, it is easy to understand that children are good at expressing their inner selves through art. This helps them feel that they have a voice and the ‘grown ups’ have a chance of getting to know them better.

This youthful creativity, for many, continues into adulthood, with the same process but more complicated and revelatory meanings and messages. Just like writing, which everyone does to some extent or another, art could be and should be an avenue for everyone to express things they can’t put into words.

Outing the inner demons into the light of day. I have been a photographer all my life and are only now realizing the joy of images and how expertly they can express my world to myself and others.

Now I am old I am tired of endless words that effortlessly spill out of empty minds. Now, I seek respite and peace, when I look into an image, a moment of contemplation, maybe even meditation.

Art has always been the way, that one soul can connect to another, not alone, part of the collective of souls, sharing meaning and understanding for the good of all. This collection of images is a tiny representation of art and artists.
