Jan M. Hill lives in two worlds - the real world and the fantasy world of Asteria. I love weaving tales and adventures around the eight islands of Asteria; now a whole new continent. There is so much to explore, design, add, and combine! Actually, I am the mother of three sons and five grandchildren. I have a dog and a cat as well. I have been writing since I was 13. Over the years, between reading and extra classes, I've honed my skills. This extends to other hobbies and activities as well. Creating quests for Dungeons and Dragons is very similar to writing a chapter in one of my books. Yes, I'm a Dungeon Master (and a player). I also enjoy playing Guild Wars 2 online with my family and friends. In addition, I like to read, decorate cakes, try my hand at photography, research genealogy, and have a black belt in Kajukenbo.Asteria: The Discovery was originally written for my middle son when he refused to read new books for school. After all, what kid doesn't like to read about himself? I took him on an adventure into another world. It worked. He started reading more. That led to Annese Does It Again, because my youngest son complained he wasn't in the first book. Since then, the series has entertained many children, teens, and adults; and they keep asking for more!!! Well, Rescuing Deavereaux joined the series in November of 2022.
