Hello! I'm Sylvia Adu Agyei, a passionate storyteller and a new writer just starting a career. My writing journey has been thrilling, filled with mystery, romance, advocation, journaling, and historical exploration.I was born and raised in Accra, Ghana, where my love for literature began early. I never wanted to miss my literature classes in high school. I mostly spent my savings on buying storybooks; Aesop's fables were one of my favourites. I used to keep a diary, consistently journaling my cherished moments. I fell in love with journaling, which sparked my interest in writing a book someday. My father, my most outstanding role model, used to tell me the ancient history of countries and their life stories. His narrations became a stepping stone and a motivation for me to want to write a book about him someday.My new book, which I published recently, although it does not talk about my father, was one I knew I really had to share with the world. As a black woman in a conservative neighborhood, there are a lot of myths we feed into revolving around women's menstrual cycle. I moved to Canada in 2021 and decided to take my health seriously. This is how my journey into this new book happened. A lot to discover and experiences to share motivated me to come up with this first release.Over the past month, I've authored a discovery book titled 50 Healthy Tips for Women with PCOS (2024): A Guide to Well-balanced Healthy Habits for Women Living with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I knew this was just the beginning of my writing career. The world will look out for more exciting reads from me, each a testament to my love for storytelling. My writing is characterized by vivid imagery, intricate plots, and deeply human characters. I strive to blend historical accuracy with imaginative storytelling, creating engaging and thought-provoking narratives. My works often explore themes of identity, resilience, and the enduring power of oppression.There is never a time I am not writing, as I keep a journal. I enjoy spending time at the beach a lot; there is this serenity I find and a connection with my mind, soul, and nature whenever I go there.
