My name is Laura Ahee and I am an aspiring newly published author. I enjoy writing because it allows me to explore a world outside of reality. I am able to dive into my imagination and write the things I wish to write about. I started out writing as a child, even though I'm sure plenty of authors day that. In actuality, I started writing chapter books when I graduated from middle school. I was worried about what high school would be like and all my friends would be on their own path, so I made my friends fictional characters in a series of books as a summer hobby. In this way, I could keep their memory with me as I went to high school. These books escalated into seasonal projects entering into high school and then college. I branched from hobby writing into novel writing. "27 Chapters" was a novel I started writing while I was in college. It was a way to alleviate stress and get lost in my imagination, even for a little while. Never did I dream my hobby would be a path of career for me. I am a licensed veterinary nurse and I enjoy my work. There is never a dull moment in my career and I do not regret choosing this path. My family inspired me to achieve my dream of writing. My sister allows me to read to her chapters I'm in the process of writing. She gives me support and counsel on my works. My friends and my boyfriend are also a tremendous source of support for me. My boyfriend and my sister gave me the courage I needed to publish this book sooner rather than later, for that I adore them and will forever be grateful.
